During the summer, teens from ages 14-18 go on a summer mission trip, typically between mid June and the beginning of July. This year we are going to Arcata to work with the native Wiyot tribe in their ongoing reclamation of Tuluwat Island, which was forcefully taken from them in the 19th century and used for a shipyard for the past century. Sign Ups for next year¹s mission trip will begin in October when we decide on where to go next summer. Fundraising will begin in December and continues through May.
Typically family contribution for the trip is between $200-300, and the rest of the funds are raised by the teens through our various fundraisers.
Scholarships are also available if the family contribution proves too great of a challenge.
