Confirmation
The Laying on of Hands

Confirmation for youth is a 9-month program that runs every other year.  The next confirmation class will take place in the 2009-2010 school year for students in the 8th grade or older.  Confirmation is a spiritual rite of passage in which youth are invited to explore the Episcopal tradition as well as other Christian denominations and religions so that they can discover what they believe and make a mature commitment to faith.

In 2007 Epiphany started a new confirmation program for youth based on the Confirm not Conform (CNC) program created by St. John's church, Oakland, CA.  CNC allows youth to explore serious issues of faith and to begin to take responsibility for their spiritual development.  Relationships with peers and mentors are an important aspect of the program.

CNC will begin again in the Fall of 2009.
