Our beginnings:

The first communion associated with Epiphany was celebrated Sunday, Oct 5, 1947, by Rev. Fordyce E. Eastburn, at the Community Church.

Here are some black and white pictures, from the "First Fifty Years" booklet, of the early days at Epiphany.

And check out the actual surviving content of the First Fifty Years booklet. (in MS Word format for the moment)

Some photos from the 60th anniversary help remind us of the people involved. Here are some photos from the gala dinner.

Rev. Chip Larrimore
That Sunday (Oct 28th, 2007) we heard the true history of how Epiphany got started. Here is a recording of that sermon by Rev. Chip Larrimore.

Looking back at our Web Site:

Epiphany 1996 home page

David Adam set up our first site in 1996 within his personal/family site "quercus.org", with the URL of www.quercus.org/~epiphany/index.htm. The original site was all hand coded in HTML 2.0, and when he handed it off to Dwight Hill, it fit nicely on a single floppy disc (remember those?). Here is the complete 1996 site

Around the year 2000, we converted to Micronsoft Frontpage, with a white background (which made it easier to add clipart) and various other changes. The site evolved and the hosting service changed about four times, finally settling down on Yahoo small business service. For most people, probably the most interesting feature of the site was the rotating images on the home page. Unfotunately, these are too complicated to preserve, but a static image of the our 2007 Home page is here.
