Church of the Epiphany is a member of the Episcopal Diocese of California, and of the national Episcopal Church in the United States of America (ECUSA).
Our local bishop is the Rt. Rev. Marc Handley Andrus, elected and installed as bishop in 2006, he is chief pastor of the diocese. The eighth bishop of our diocese, he previously served as Suffragan Bishop of the Diocese of Alabama.
The Most Rev. Dr. Katharine Jefferts Schori is our Presiding Bishop, the elected leader of the national church. Previously Bishop of Nevada, she is our twenty-sixth Presiding Bishop. As chief pastor, she serves the Episcopal Church's 2.4 million members in 16 countries and 110 dioceses, and is ecumenical officer, and primate, joining leaders of the other 38 Anglican Provinces in consultation for global good and reconciliation. Jefferts Schori was elected at the 75th General Convention on June 18, 2006 and invested at Washington National Cathedral on November 4, 2006.
